Pertamina Monitors Infrastructure and Energy Supply Readiness for Ramadan & Eid al-Fitr 2024 in Surabaya

Surabaya, March 22, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) directly monitors the readiness of energy facilities and supplies (Sarfas) for fuel and gas to serve the needs of the community during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period in 2024 in Surabaya, East Java.

The monitoring was carried out directly by the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Alfian Nasution, and Director of HR of Pertamina, M. Erry Sugiharto, during Pertamina's Ramadan Safari event in the Surabaya region, East Java, on Thursday, March 21, 2024. The event was also attended by the Director of Regional Marketing of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, Director of Land Infrastructure and Engineering of Pertamina, Eduard Adolof Kawi, and Director of HR & Business Support of Pertamina Gas Negara, Beni Syarif Hidayat.

During the first visit to the Integrated Terminal Surabaya facility owned by Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Alfian Nasution, stated the facility was ready to welcome the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (RAFI) 2024. Its readiness includes the availability of tanker fleets, tanker crews, mobile storage, and vehicles for Pertashop, modular units, and reserve tanks. Thus, , the operation is expected to run smoothly without any obstacles during the RAFI task force period.

Alfian revealed that the Integrated Terminal Surabaya Fuel Terminal at Tanjung Perak and Bandaran has reserve tank capacities and stocks of fuel/oil products such as Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Solar, Fame, Pertamina Bio Solar, Pertamina Dex, Avtur, LSFO180, HSFO, and Ethanol. A total of 37 fuel reserve tanks were prepared with a capacity of more than 227,000 kiloliters.

In addition to the Fuel Terminal, Pertamina also distributes LPG around East Java through the LPG Terminals at Tanjung Perak and Gresik, with a total of 11 tanks with a capacity of 17,500 metric tons. The Tanjung Perak LPG Terminal can cover distribution areas in 24 cities/regencies, while the Gresik LPG Terminal has distribution coverage for up to 28 districts/cities.

Alfian Nasution appreciated the readiness of the Integrated Terminal Surabaya in welcoming RAFI 2024, where many preparation and improvement efforts have been made, both operationally and in terms of human resources.

"We ensure the readiness of the Integrated Terminal Surabaya installation from both its infrastructure and human resources aspects in preparation for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. We directly ensure that all components are ready to distribute fuel to anticipate significant surges in the East Java area," he said.

As part of the activities on the same day, Pertamina's Board of Directors also visited the Sales Operation Region III owned by Subholding Gas PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN). During the visit, Pertamina's HR Director, M. Erry Sugiharto, evaluated the facilities owned by PGN, which are ready to distribute gas energy, including during the peak period of the task force.

In Region III, PGN offers gas products for households-small customers, transportation, commercial and industrial purposes, and beyond pipeline, with total management of distribution gas networks covering more than 5,588 kilometers. PGN's customers in Region III consist of 592 commercial-industrial customers, 391 small customers, and 206,602 households.

"I hope that in the future, PGN will continue to improve because there are still many opportunities and other business developments that can be pursued," he said.

In addition to reviewing infrastructure readiness, the Board of Directors of Pertamina and Subholding also conducted the 1445 H Ramadan Safari. This activity serves as a forum for gathering and discussion between Pertamina's management and employees across all Pertamina operational regions. Moreover, in an event themed "Energi Kebersamaan" ("Energy Togetherness"), Pertamina also provided donations, gifts, and operational assistance to six orphanages, with a total of 100 orphaned children beneficiaries.
