Pertamina Participates in WOW Indonesia Festival 2024, Commemorating 75 Years of Indonesia-US Diplomatic Relations

Washington DC, August 26, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) returns to an international event to introduce its sustainability policies and to help its fostered MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) partners enter the global market through the WOW Indonesia Festival 2024 in Washington DC, United States, on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

The WOW Indonesia Festival 2024 celebrates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the United States in 2024 at Pennsylvania Ave NW, 3rd-7th Street, Washington, DC.

In the event opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi, Pertamina introduced various sustainability programs such as the Independent Energy Village and Net Zero Emissions. The company also showcased several products from its fostered MSMEs, including Fashion Cap Bali, Persona Handicraft, Aksesoris Sripala, Mutiara Git Bay Accessories, Bali Ayu Beauty Products, and many other MSME products.

Minister Retno Marsudi appreciates Pertamina for participating in the WOW Indonesia Festival 2024 and its programs that assist MSMEs in becoming self-sufficient. "I hope that in the future, Pertamina will bring even more MSMEs to international events like this," said Retno while visiting Pertamina's booth.

Since 1993, Pertamina has consistently supported Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through funding activities and various mentoring programs. "The WOW Indonesia Festival 2024 is an excellent opportunity for our fostered MSMEs to access the export market in the United States," added Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero).

As part of the 75th anniversary of Indonesia-US diplomatic relations, Pertamina will also participate in a business forum on Monday, August 26, 2024, in Washington, DC.

During the forum, John Anis, CEO of Pertamina New & Renewable Energy, will present Pertamina's achievements and collaboration opportunities in the New and Renewable Energy field.

"The purpose of participating in this business forum is to encourage and hold meetings with business partners to explore potential collaboration opportunities," Fadjar concluded.
