Pertamina Patra Niaga Adjusts Non-Subsidized Fuel Prices, Pertamax Remains the Same

Jakarta, August 2, 2024 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has adjusted the prices for non-subsidized fuels, including gasoline products such as Pertamax Turbo and Pertamax Green 95, as well as gasoil products, such as Pertamina Dex and Dexlite. The price for Pertamax remains unchanged.

The adjustment in non-subsidized fuel prices by Pertamina Patra Niaga is based on global oil price trends (ICP) and the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar (USD).

Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Heppy Wulansari, explained the adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices had been implemented by all businesses at the beginning of August 2024.

"Referring to the average global oil price, Pertamina Patra Niaga has re-evaluated and adjusted the prices for Pertamax Green RON 95, Pertamax Turbo RON 98, as well as non-subsidized diesel fuels, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex, effective August 2, 2024. Pertamax price remains the same," said Heppy.

Heppy further emphasized that Pertamina's policy for adjusting non-subsidized fuel prices considers economic stability and public purchasing power. Therefore, despite the rise in ICP trends since the end of the first trimester, Pertamina Patra Niaga has maintained its non-subsidized fuel prices at the same levels since March 2024.

With this adjustment at the beginning of August, for the DKI Jakarta area, Pertamax remains at IDR 12,950 per liter, Pertamax Green is adjusted to IDR 15,000 from the previous IDR 13,900 per liter, Pertamax Turbo to IDR 15,450 from the previous IDR 14,400 per liter, Dexlite to IDR 15,350 from the previous IDR 14,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex to IDR 15,650 from the previous IDR 15,100 per liter. These prices apply to provinces with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) rate of 5%, such as DKI Jakarta.

"The pricing is following the regulations of Ministerial Decree ESDM No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 as an amendment to Decree No. 62/K/12/MEM/2020 regarding the formulation of prices for general fuel types (JBU) or non-subsidized fuels. We ensure that these prices remain competitive for products of equivalent quality," added Heppy.
