Jakarta, March 21, 2022 – As a business entity mandated to distribute the public's fuel needs, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Commercial & Trading of Sub Holding PT Pertamina (Persero), continues to ensure the stock and distribution of fuel runs optimally, including subsidized diesel distribution.
Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, said the current national economic growth, currently above 5%, will affect increasing energy needs, including subsidized Solar. In response to this, Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to ensure stock and ensure the optimal maintenance of the distribution process in the field.
"National subsidized diesel stock is at the level of 20 days, and every day this stock and the distribution process to petrol stations are monitored in real-time. However, it is necessary to know that as of February, subsidized Solar distribution has exceeded the quota by around 10% nationally," explained Irto.
Irto continued that Pertamina Patra Niaga will monitor the entire distribution process to ensure that petrol stations are always available, from the fuel terminal to consumers. Especially for subsidized solar, we will focus on logistics services and routes whose users are entitled to enjoy it.
"Therefore, people do not need to worry, and there is no need to panic buying. We are urging to purchase fuel according to the needs and be efficient in its utilization considering that currently, oil prices are very expensive," he continued.
Referring to Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014, users who are entitled to subsidized Solar for the transportation sector are black plate vehicles for transporting people or goods, yellow plate vehicles of more than six wheels for transporting mining and plantation products, public service vehicles (ambulance, fire engine, waste carriers), Indonesian-flagged public transport ships, pioneer ships, and general passenger and freight trains.
To ensure that users who are entitled to subsidized Solar can be understood by the public, Pertamina with all stakeholders and the Government through BPH Migas will improve education and socialization regarding the regulations that have been made of the subsidized Solar distribution.
"Solar subsidies are in line with their designation so that the users will be right on target and people will be wiser in using fuel according to the specifications of their vehicle engines. We urge industry players and the people who can afford it to use non-subsidized diesel fuel such as Dexlite and Pertamina Dex, and subsidized diesel can be used by people who are more entitled and need it," explained Irto.
Pertamina Patra Niaga will cooperate with the community, the Government, and all related parties in supervising Solar subsidies so that they are more targeted. If there are indications of misuse of subsidized Solar, the public can report directly to the authorities, and if the fault lies with the petrol station, Pertamina will not hesitate to take action on the petrol station.
