Jakarta, June 25, 2023 - Demonstrating its commitment to transparent subsidized fuel distribution, Pertamina Patra Niaga has implemented the Full QR Code scheme for Subsidized Solar products purchase in 514 cities and regencies across Indonesia.
Mars Ega Legowo Putra, Regional Marketing Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga had completed at least 3 out of 5 Program Subsidi Tepat stages.
"Since June 22, the Program Subsidi Tepat, particularly for Subsidized Solar, has been implemented with the Full QR Code scheme. It means that 100% of Subsidized Solar transactions in Indonesia require QR Codes, the third stage of the Program Subsidi Tepat, where the community has started utilizing QR Codes to verify Subsidized Solar transactions. It is a crucial phase where direct interaction with the public takes place," Mars Ega explained.
The first stage, according to Mars Ega, involved the digital infrastructure installation and preparation at petrol stations which was completed in December 2020. The second stage involved the MyPertamina platform integration, encompassing servers, websites, applications, promotional programs, and social media, which commenced in July 2022.
Mars Ega further stated that the Full QR Code implementation aims to facilitate and ensure certainty of eligible individuals receiving Subsidized Solar.
"Everything is easy, from the registration process to the transaction itself. Once you have the QR Code, you only need to present it to the petrol station operator, who will scan it. If you do not have a mobile phone, you can print it out. Pertamina has prepared various schemes to facilitate the process. Once scanned, you can proceed with the transaction within the volume limits established based on the vehicle criteria outlined in the BPH Migas Decree No. 04 /P3JBT/BPH Migas/Kom/2020," he continued.
The success of this Full QR Code implementation, according to Mars Ega, is also inseparable from the support of various relevant stakeholders, the Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs (Hiswana Migas), mass media, and the society itself.
"We express our gratitude to all stakeholders involved, including local governments, Hiswana Migas as our petrol station partners, the media for communicating and socializing the Program Subsidi Tepat, and the public for registering and transacting with the QR Code to ensure more transparent Subsidized Solar distribution. It is a challenging phase as it involves changing transactional habits, and hopefully, it will be a good start in maintaining the subsidized fuel distribution," Mars Ega concluded.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that as a state-owned enterprise entrusted with managing subsidized fuel, Pertamina continues to ensure its targeted distribution.
"This is our joint effort with the government to distribute Subsidized Fuel to those who are eligible. We also encourage capable individuals to use Non-Subsidized Fuel," Fadjar said.
