Palembang, November 7, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region appreciates the police that caught subsidized diesel fuel misuse in Palembang City.
"We appreciate police officers who arrested the person misusing the subsidized diesel fuel at a petrol station, RE Martadinata Street, Lemabang, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang," said Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Sumbagsel, Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan.
Three units of Innova cars suspected of having fake police numbers with modified tanks were caught by the Special Criminal Unit (Pidsus) of the Palembang Police Satreskrim while refueling diesel fuel.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region continues to coordinate and synergize with various parties. In addition to regulations, joint supervision is needed to anticipate misuse re-occurrence so that subsidized fuel is distributed on the target.
Pertamina also encourages the public to register their vehicles at subsiditepat.mypertamina.id to prevent data misuse from irresponsible people and support targeted subsidies. People who do not have mobile phones can come to the registration location provided at Pertamina petrol stations.
The public is also expected to buy fuel at Pertamina's official outlets (SPBU and Pertashop) with guaranteed quality and safety and not to re-fill and stockpile because fuel is a hazardous material that can cause fires and fatalities.
Strict action against hoarders, industries, and individuals misusing subsidized fuel has been regulated in Article 55 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Cipta Kerja. It states that anyone who abuses the Transportation and or Trading of Oil Fuel, gas fuel, and or liquefied petroleum gas subsidized by the government shall be punished with a maximum imprisonment of six years and a maximum fine of IDR 60 billion.
If the public finds fraud indications, they can report it to law enforcement officials or through the Pertamina Call Center (PCC) 135.**
