Manggarai Barat, May 6, 2023 – Pertamina, through its subsidiary Pertamedika IHC as the parent company of state-owned hospitals, deployed five ambulance fleets and around 25 medical and non-medical personnel during the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo, Manggarai Barat Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.
The medical resources were dispatched from various IHC hospital networks, namely RS Wonolangan, RS Lavalette, RS Perkebunan Jember Clinic, and RS PHC Surabaya, all of which are based in East Java, as well as the Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) from DKI Jakarta.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina explained that the participating ambulances were the best series in their class, equipped with advanced medical equipment monitored continuously through GPS mode. "The Medical Team's activities have started from May 5 to May 11, 2023, which is the end of the ASEAN Summit," he added.
Meanwhile, Fadjar added that the deployed medical personnel, already has medical certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS), which are crucial for emergency medical conditions.
"Pertamina fully supports the implementation of the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo. In addition to our commitment to the energy transition, Pertamina, through Pertamedika IHC, also supports the provision of medical personnel and ambulances for VVIPs," Fadjar concluded.
On the same occasion, the National Police Chief and the Commander of the Armed Forces also visited and inspected the readiness of the VVIP Ambulance Rescue owned by the hospital network of PT Pertamina Bina Medika - Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) during a joint preparation for the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo on May 6, 2023.
