Pertamina Receives SOEs Award with the Best B2B Spending for UMKM in 2023

Jakarta, July 12, 2024 - Pertamina has been awarded as the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) with the best Business to Business (B2B) spending for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in 2023.

Pertamina recorded transactions amounting to approximately IDR 5.1 trillion through the PaDi UMKM platform as of June 2024. This award was received during the series of events of the PaDi UMKM Indonesia Expo & Conference 2024, organized by the Ministry of SOEs.

This event is designed to connect SOEs and MSMEs to interact and collaborate in promoting MSME development, particularly in the supply chain of marketing MSME products. Pertamina participated in this event by including 17 leading MSMEs in the offline exhibition at Sarinah, Jakarta, and three MSMEs involved in business matching in ship and rig equipment sectors procurement.

According to the Ministry of SOEs' Expert Staff for Finance and MSME Development, Loto Srinaita Ginting, “This is the fifth PaDi UMKM Expo after being held virtually in 2021 and starting hybrid in 2022. Since the launch of PaDi UMKM on August 17, 2020, this platform has evolved into a bridge connecting SOEs and MSMEs, encouraging MSMEs to transact digitally and contribute to the national economy," she said.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that this award reflects Pertamina's commitment as a driver of the national economy by supporting MSMEs through the PaDi digital marketplace.

"Pertamina hopes that with this support, MSMEs will continue to grow and drive the economy, especially in remote areas," explained Fadjar.

The PaDi UMKM Indonesia Expo & Conference 2024 will be held in Jakarta from July 11-14, 2024, and in Balikpapan from July 18-21, 2024. With the "Together with SOEs Building the SOE Ecosystem" theme, the event series includes business conferences, business matching, talk shows, and exhibitions. For the first time, the PaDi UMKM Expo features a Conference expected to serve as a forum for MSMEs as suppliers and SOEs as buyers to interact, share experiences, and conduct business matching activities. It is expected to strengthen the ecosystem and increase transactions between the SOE Buyer Group and MSMEs.
