Indramayu, March 22, 2024 - The management of PT Pertamina (Persero) conducted a working visit to Refinery Unit (RU) VI Balongan, West Java. This visit aimed to ensure the readiness of fuel, LPG, and Avtur supplies from the RU VI Balongan refinery, especially to meet the needs of the community during the 2024 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (Rafi Task Force 2024) moments.
The visit was carried out by Pertamina's Business Support Director, Erry Widiastono, and Pertamina's Finance Director, Emma Sri Martini, accompanied by the President Director of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Taufik Aditiyawarman, as well as the General Manager of RU VI Balongan, Sugeng Firmanto, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Emma Sri Martini explained that the readiness of the RU VI Balongan refinery to face the surge in community activities during the Task Force period would proceed smoothly. The facilities and the Health Safety Security aspect and Environment (HSSE) were carefully inspected during the visit.
"Therefore, we ensure that the Balongan refinery is ready with its reliability and maintaining energy resilience. We will ensure the fuel distribution throughout Indonesia," Emma stated firmly.
The RU VI Balongan refinery processes crude oil into Petroleum Fuel (BBM), Non-BBM, and Petrochemical products. The products from the Balongan refinery include Premium, Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Solar, Pertamina DEX, LPG, Propylene, Avtur, and specialty chemical products for industrial purposes such as Gas Oil for Antifoam (GO Foam), which have strategic value by supplying fuel to DKI Jakarta, Banten, and parts of West Java.
Emma emphasized that the HSSE aspect will always be the top priority for Pertamina to ensure the smooth distribution of energy to the community. "The HSSE aspect is the top priority that cannot be compromised. Effective monitoring must be ensured in all fields," she said.
During this Ramadan Safari visit, Pertamina Management also assisted 180 orphans and underprivileged children around the RU VI Balongan area. This charity program is a tangible manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to actively participate in social and environmental development while spreading positive energy to the communities around its operational areas.
