Pertamina SMEXPO Embraces Indonesia’s Young Generation Participates in Exciting Activities

Jakarta, November 21, 2022 - Pertamina SMEXPO will be held soon. In a series of activities to welcome this annual event, Pertamina invites Indonesia’s young generation to share pride in using Indonesian MSMEs products through social media. This activity is intended as a part of and supports the government’s invitation to use products made in Indonesia.

VP of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Small Medium Enterprise Partnership Program (SMEPP) of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, said that Pertamina SMEXPO had succeeded in attracting Indonesia’s young generation to participate. Therefore, in its activities this year, Pertamina once again invites younger generations to support a series of events interesting in welcoming the Pertamina SMEXPO 2022, such as participating in the Tik Tok Challenge, held from October 10, 2022, to November 22, 2022, and Live Shopping, held from November 3 to 15, 2022. 

This Tiktok Challenge is open to the public, especially Indonesia’s younger generation, who share their stories in supporting MSMEs, particularly those assisted by Pertamina. Therefore, they can help their businesses become more widely known to Indonesia’s younger generation.

Apart from that, Pertamina SMEXPO also held Live Shopping SMEXPO 2022 on November 3-15 through the @gen_umkm Instagram account. There are many productsfrom the 16 SMEs assisted by Pertamina at this SMEXPO Live Shopping. 

Given that Indonesian youth now make up 50% of the country’s population, there is tremendous potential for them to mobilize one another. Pertamina wants to use this positive force to help MSME actors, especially its fostered partners.

Furthermore, Fajriyah said, “Pertamina will continue to encourage digital marketing for MSME players throughout the world, so they can generate foreign exchange, support national economic growth, and absorb a large workforce. We want to invite the Indonesian people, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in supporting this movement.”

Not only providing a place to shop on the marketplace, but Pertamina SMEXPO also provides more functions for participating MSMEs. According to Fajriyah, Pertamina SMEXPO has a special program for MSMEs of Business Matching and Coaching Sessions. Therefore, MSMEs can be prepared to face challenges in the future and expand their market. 

Pertamina is also preparing the SMEXPO Showcase, which will be held hybrid at one of the malls in Jakarta. Activities and entertainment will be displayed at the SMEXPO Showcase while still paying attention to health protocols.
