Pertamina Sumbagut Region Ensures Safe Distribution and Sufficient LPG Stock in Aceh Ahead of Eid al-Adha
Banda Aceh, June 15, 2024 - Ahead of the Eid al-Adha 1445 H celebration, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) guarantees LPG stock’s availability and safety in Aceh. This assurance was expressed by Susanto August Satria, Area Manager of Communications, Relations, and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Region, on Thursday (13/6).
"We ensure LPG distribution and stock are in safe condition in Aceh. Additionally, to fulfill the community’s needs during Eid al-Adha, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared an additional stock of 3 kg LPG totaling 147,840 cylinders or 444 Metric Tons (MT) in Aceh," said Satria.
He explained that this additional LPG stock is being prepared to anticipate the increased demand for 3 kg LPG during the Eid al-Adha period, which coincides with the weekend (long holiday). The strengthening of LPG stock in Aceh will be implemented throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday and the long holiday period in June 2024.
Satria also urged the public to purchase 3 kg LPG from official Pertamina outlets to obtain the highest retail price (HET) set by the local government. Additionally, the public is advised to utilize 3 kg LPG wisely by not hoarding or reselling it.
"We urge the public to use 3 kg LPG wisely by not hoarding and reselling it, as it is a subsidized item," said Satria.
It is important to note that certain businesses are prohibited from using subsidized LPG as outlined in the Circular Letter of the Director General of Oil and Gas No. B-2461/MG.05/DJM/2022. These businesses include hotels, restaurants, laundry services, livestock, tobacco farming, batik making, welding services, and others.
In addition to ensuring the 3 kg LPG availability, Satria mentioned that they also guarantee the availability of non-subsidized LPG, such as Bright Gas, which is accessible to the public at official outlets and other points of sale.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that during the National Religious Holiday (HBKN) Eid al-Adha 2024, Pertamina ensures the LPG availability across all regions of Indonesia, including Aceh and its surroundings, to fulfill local community needs.
