Pertamina Supports the 2023 BUMN Fest
Jakarta, July 17, 2023 – Pertamina is supporting the 2023 BUMN Fest that is officially opened by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Building in Jakarta on Monday, July 17, 2023.
BUMN Fest 2023 is an annual sports and art competition that reflects solidarity, togetherness, and collaboration of state-owned enterprises. With the "Moving Together, Achieving Together" theme, this AKHLAK Festival is framed to be more harmonious and collaborative, with inter-cluster competitions among state-owned enterprises.
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, emphasized Human Resources (HR) transformation is crucial for state-owned enterprises. He believes that transformation cannot happen if it does not start from within.
"Therefore, we shape the 2023 BUMN Fest activities to be more synergistic and collaborative. In the state-owned enterprise's recruitment, we also foster synergy, as it can provide solutions to various problems faced by Indonesia," said Erick Thohir during the 2023 BUMN Fest opening on Monday, July 17.
Erick added that the transformations carried out in state-owned enterprises have produced the best talents needed by Indonesia.
"When we build our human capital, many of the best individuals in state-owned enterprises are sought after by other ministries. They end up in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and Ministry of Immigration. This is evidence that we have begun to produce the best talents," added Erick.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, stated her support for BUMN Fest 2023 as an event that enhances collaboration and synergy among state-owned enterprises, particularly between different clusters.
"I warmly welcome this event, especially with Pertamina and PLN collaborating in the energy (oil and gas) cluster as contingents in BUMN Fest 2023. Hopefully, the energy cluster can emerge as the overall champion," said Nicke.
Nicke further mentioned that Pertamina is sending a contingent to participate in this year's BUMN Fest competition to enhance SOEs’ synergy spirit.
"BUMN Fest 2023 is an excellent opportunity to strengthen SOEs’ synergy and support the vision of becoming world-class state-owned enterprises," added Nicke.
BUMN Fest 2023 will showcase competitions in arts, culture, and sports, participated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and 12 state-owned enterprise clusters. The series of events for BUMN Fest 2023 will be carried out until July 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, emphasized that BUMN Fest 2023 is not just an occasion for synergy and networking but also an opportunity to sharpen the physical and achievements of SOEs’ individuals, particularly the participating Pertamina officers.
"After the pandemic restrictions were lifted, this is the first time sports and art competition among state-owned enterprises is held again. Therefore, we are prepared to participate and enliven BUMN Fest 2023."
