Jakarta, January 9, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) successfully secured the national energy supply during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2024. Pertamina officially concluded the Nataru Task Force's duty, which operated from December 15, 2023, to January 8, 2024.
Alfian Nasution, Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, stated that during the Nataru Task Force, all of Pertamina's operations, from upstream to downstream, operated 24 hours a day to provide the best service to the public to enjoy Christmas and New Year 2024 moments.
"The Nataru Task Force has worked effectively, ensuring the Indonesian people’s energy needs are fulfilled. We express appreciation to all stakeholders, the Government and all related institutions, businesses, private entities, the public, and all Pertamina officers who have upheld and supported the Nataru Task Force implementation," said Alfian.
On the upstream side, oil production exceeded the target by 105%. Similarly, gas production surpassed the 2023 planning by 101%.
Meanwhile, Pertamina's refinery production during the Nataru Task Force 2023/2024 proceeded as planned, proven by production realization that consistently exceeded the production plan for December 2023.
Alfian added that to distribute energy during Nataru, Pertamina operated 304 vessel units. The total tonnage of these vessels was capable of distributing all cargoes to the Fuel Oil Terminal and LPG to maintain stock resilience at the Terminal and LPG.
Through the Gas Subholding, Pertamina distributed gas from 29 Working Areas, consisting of 24 Contractor Cooperation Contracts (KKKS) to 3,019 Commercial and Industrial Customers, 1,967 small-scale customers, and 834,165 household customers (household gas).
"All Holding, Subholding, Subsidiaries, or Operational Units are in a normal, secure condition and continue to tighten security measures and increase vigilance to prevent incidents that could disrupt and harm the company," he emphasized.
Regarding marketing aspects, during the Task Force period, Pertamina noted a 4.5% increase in gasoline sales compared to normal distribution averages. Total household LPG also experienced a 0.2% increase, while non-subsidized LPG rose significantly by 6.8%. Aviation fuel sales increased by 1.8%.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, added that the 2024 Nataru Task Force closure had been completed on January 8, 2024. In 2024, Pertamina will strengthen its role in distributing energy to the entire Indonesian people to maintain national energy resilience. "With stakeholder support, Pertamina can fulfill the mandate of serving energy across the nation. Pertamina will continue to improve its services even further in the future," explained Fadjar.
