Jakarta, September 25, 2024 - The FORDIGI Summit 2024, organized by the Forum Digital BUMN (FORDIGI) in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), has returned. Pertamina successfully took home an award in digital innovation at this prestigious event.
Pertamina won Third Place in the Revenue Generation Category at the BUMNTechnology Adaptation Award during the FORDIGI Summit 2024, obtained through the Digital Twin Project Initiative - iSquare at Saka Energi Indonesia (PGN Saka) under the Gas Subholding. iSquare, implemented at PGN Saka Energi, is a technology that aims to improve Pertamina’s operational efficiency while serving as an engineering platform for upstream business processes.
The award was presented by the Deputy of Human Resources, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of SOEs, Tedi Bharata, to the SVP of Enterprise IT of Pertamina, Yoke Susatyo, on Wednesday (09/25) at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Mulia, Jakarta.
Director of Corporate Services of Pertamina, Erry Widiastono, stated that this award recognizes Pertamina's successful digital innovation in driving business transformation through technology adaptation. Erry further explained that as a leading SOE in the energy sector, Pertamina is actively engaged in digital transformation, demonstrating its commitment to modern technology. Digitalization has been implemented across various Pertamina business lines, from upstream to downstream.
"Artificial intelligence (AI) has helped increase oil production in the upstream sector. In the downstream sector, Pertamina is preparing to digitalize Fuel Filling Stations (FPPU) and AI-based LPG distribution, enabling more accurate distribution management systems," he said.
Erry added that AI is being used to predict crude oil prices, allowing Pertamina to secure the best prices with optimal efficiency. "This technology is crucial in our efforts to maintain national energy security while enhancing operational efficiency," he added.
Pertamina appreciates the Digital Forum of SOEs and the Ministry of SOEs for initiating the FORDIGI Summit 2024. Erry explained that this forum provides opportunities for SOEs, particularly Pertamina, to exchange knowledge and experiences with various technology practitioners.
"This event is an excellent opportunity for SOEs to share experiences and collaborate, not only with other SOEs but also with other stakeholders. FORDIGI is expected to inspire everyone to leverage AI, digitalization, and machine learning to increase efficiency, revenue, and resource optimization," he continued.
Deputy of Human Resources, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of SOEs, Tedi Bharata, emphasized the importance of collaboration as the foundation of digitalization in SOEs. "Digitalization is expected to convert manual processes into digital ones and to become a revolutionary industry transformation. The hope is that digitalization will act as a cost center while being a business accelerator," he said.
FORDIGI focuses on five main pillars supporting the digital transformation of SOEs: Digital Capability Building, Governance and Compliance, Technology Leadership, Ecosystem Development, and Collaborative Innovation. Its main goal is to learn and adopt new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), and help industry players face future challenges.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
