Jakarta, October 14, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero), through its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Partnership Program, successfully secured export transactions worth USD 10.5 million, equivalent to IDR 163.5 billion, during the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) from October 9-12, 2024, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang. Thirteen of Pertamina's fostered MSMEs signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with several international buyers from various countries.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that this achievement demonstrates Pertamina's commitment to supporting the MSME development in Indonesia. Through various mentorship programs, Pertamina provides guidance, training, and access to international networks, enabling MSME products to compete globally.
"This is a significant step for Pertamina’s partnered MSMEs in entering the international market. Their success in attracting global market interest is from Pertamina’s intensive mentoring, where we offer full support in areas such as training, product development, and access to global markets," Fadjar said.
Pertamina's fostered MSMEs had the opportunity to meet directly with buyers from various countries drawn to Indonesia's high-quality products during TEI 2024. It broadens the market reach of MSMEs while supporting the government’s target to increase non-oil and gas exports.
Fadjar added that at TEI 2024, 13 of Pertamina’s MSMEs agreed to trade collaborations with several international buyers. These collaborations are a major achievement for Pertamina’s MSMEs in expanding their export markets and strengthening the presence of Indonesian products on the global stage.
The collaborations include flagship products from various sectors, such as crafts from Mendey Craft MSME, food and beverages from Bawadi Foods, Arrinnee, Kahla, Lyvia Nusa Boga, Huma Gawin Itah, Bananania, Bali Honey, CV Bunga Palm, and Putra Abadi MSME. Additionally, the fashion sector includes Al Aqshal Embroidery, Kainnesia, and Haluan Bali MSMEs. The countries involved in these collaborations include Malaysia, China, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia, reflecting their interest in the quality and uniqueness of Indonesian MSME products.
"We hope these collaborations will pave the way for increasing Indonesia’s export volume and strengthening the MSME position in the global market. Pertamina’s efforts in developing MSME markets will ultimately contribute to the national economic growth," Fadjar added.
