Pertamina’s PERTIWI Community Promotes Sustainable Lifestyles and Holistic Well-being for Pertamina Officers
Jakarta, June 2, 2024 - Pertamina’s PERTIWI Community held the "PERTIWI Inspires" event with the theme "Sustainable Lifestyle For Holistic Well-Being", at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, on May 31, 2024.
The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, Pertamina’s PERTIWI is inspiring. “Women are born to develop, create, and nurture something to provide benefits through innovation, courage, resilience, and multitasking abilities,” said Nicke.
She hopes that Pertamina’s PERTIWI will be prepared to face global challenges. “In this context, we must manage Pertamina in a way that contributes beneficially to Indonesia while addressing global challenges, thus strengthening Indonesia's position in the world,” she emphasized.
Regarding holistic well-being, Nicke added that a spirit of well-being should be included by working extra hard and optimizing all support systems. She also highlighted the importance of women convincing various parties amidst many stereotypes about women, noting that women must change these stereotypes to quickly achieve company targets.
Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina’s PERTIWI is a women empowerment community established in 2021. This community has programs covering five dimensions of holistic well-being for employees, including physical fitness, mental and intellectual wellness, social and environmental aspects, occupational health, and financial stability.
“This is a challenge for Pertamina to continuously empower the role of female employees as mandated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE). Pertamina has set a target for female leaders to make up 25% of the leadership,” Fadjar explained.
The event was also attended by the Director of Finance of PT Pertamina (Persero) and Chairwoman of Pertamina’s PERTIWI, Emma Sri Martini, along with all Chairpersons of PERTIWI Sub-holdings and the AP Portfolio, as well as newly appointed Pertamina Group PERTIWI officials at the Pertiwi Inspires 2024 event.
The Pertiwi Inspires 2024 event also featured three inspiring young speakers.
Maudy Ayunda, one of the speakers, welcomed the PERTIWI Inspires event. “I think this event is incredibly important. There must be communities and programs that provide extra support for officers,” Maudy said during the talk show titled "Holistic Well-Being: Balancing Career, Education, and Personal Health."
Putri Tanjung, who also attended the PERTIWI Inspires 2024 event, discussed the Sustainable Business Ecosystem and explained the sustainable actions taken by CT Corps. She noted that the C-level positions at CT Corps are also occupied by female leaders, making the women empowerment programs very tangible and mutually supportive.
Similar sentiments were shared by another speaker, Putu Ayu Saraswati, Miss Indonesia Environment 2020. "I am happy to be here, meeting Pertamina's Board of Directors, other speakers, and Pertamina officers. This event provides a detailed showcase of what PERTIWI is about; it is truly an extraordinary event,” said Putu Ayu Saraswati during the talk show on "Sustainable Lifestyle For Holistic Well-Being."
