PGN Gas Subholding Pertamina & Jaya Real Property Collaboration Fulfills Domestic and Horeka Natural Gas Needs in Bintaro

Tangerang, October 10, 2022 – PT PGN Tbk, as Pertamina's Gas Subholding, synergizes with PT Jaya Real Property Tbk (JRP) for household and horeka (hotels, restaurants, cafes) jargas (gas network) development in the Bintaro Jaya and Graha Raya residential areas, Tangerang. This agreement contained a Memorandum of Understanding between PGN and JRP, signed by General Manager SOR II of PGN, Sonny Rahmawan Abdi, and Director of JRP, Adi Wijaya, witnessed by Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGN, Achmad Muchtasyar, on Wednesday (5/10/2022).

Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGN, Achmad Muchtasyar, explained that the potential for housing in the Bintaro area and its surroundings are +\- 35,000 Household Connections and ±241 commercial potential including hotels, restaurants, and cafes (horeka).

PGN will gradually build a ±37 KM dedicated pipeline from the existing pipeline on Raya Serpong street to the Bintaro area. PGN also ensures that all administrative and construction processes run well. Thus, the gas implementation to customers can be realized following the set targets.

“The collaboration with JRP is expected to help make PGN's jargas program a success. There are many dynamics and challenges in building gas pipelines, with JRP being a good example of carrying out gas milestones. We are ready to carry out infrastructure development and prepare all the needs of attracting customers with JRP. With the jargas later, Bintaro as a modern area can be more modern," said Achmad.

“We support PGN's jargas program, considering that jargas is a National Strategic Program (PSN) project that we must succeed. The Memorandum of Understanding between Jaya Real Property and PGN is expected to continue with better cooperation. We will coordinate with PGN, and all matters related to gas and gas development will be informed to each other," said the Director of JRP, Adi Wijaya.

“Our focus is large in the West Java region, and the Bintaro region is an area with great potential. Hence, our focus is also high enough to finish building the pipeline here. We hope that the support from JRP can make it easier both in commercial, technical and related to licensing," added the General Manager of SOR II of PGN, Sonny Rahmawan Abdi.

PGN's natural gas fulfillment for households and Horeka through GasKita products uses a pipeline network. Therefore, the gas flow will always be available 24 hours a week, practical, safe, and environmentally friendly. Moreover, PGN continues to innovate in improving customer service by providing products other than natural gas in parallel with modern society's development needs.

PGN's natural gas pipeline network installation follows standards and is carried out by a certified entity. For users' convenience, routine network maintenance is carried out and equipped with safety equipment such as a gas alarm system. PGN also protects if a household gas pipeline network fire occurs, as well as customer cards to facilitate communication between customers and PGN officers regarding natural gas.
