Jakarta, April 6, 2024 - In anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, PT PGN Tbk, as Pertamina’s Gas Sub-holding, held a joint homecoming program for free. This year, 1,020 PGN joint mudik program participants were dispatched to West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.
Entitled "Mudik Asyik Bersama PGN 2024", PGN dispatched 21 bus units from Wisma Aldiron Field, one bus from Monas in collaboration with the Ministry of SOEs, and three buses from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Office.
The homecoming travel participants were a combination of various active workers within the Gas Sub-holding and their families, as well as some from the general public.
The Director of Finance and Risk Management of PGN, Fadjar Harianto Widodo, revealed that PGN routinely organizes free homecoming programs. As part of a state-owned enterprise (SOE), the joint homecoming activity is one way for PGN to contribute to the community that has long supported the company's business continuity.
"This joint homecoming program is a source of pride for PGN as we can assist people in returning home. Hopefully, it will bring blessings to the participants. It is time to reunite with parents and families," said Fadjar in his speech at the joint homecoming departure ceremony of PGN at Wisma Aldiron Pancoran, Jakarta (5/4/2024).
PGN hopes this activity can also help alleviate the cost of homecoming travel for the community and provide safe homecoming facilities. Before departure, the drivers and bus crew underwent health checks and were deemed fit to depart.
The bus crew has also been instructed to monitor the vehicle and physical conditions during the journey and prioritize safety until the final destination. On each bus, a coordinator has been appointed to accompany the travelers and help remind them to ensure that no belongings or family members are left behind.
"PGN seeks support and prayers for continued growth so that we can continue to organize joint homecoming," Fadjar concluded.
In addition to providing comfort during the homecoming period, PGN ensures smooth and safe natural gas distribution during the Eid holidays. The Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024 Task Force (Satgas RAFI 2024) is on duty until April 21, 2024, and is on standby 24 hours a day to maintain natural gas reliability in 73 districts/cities. If obstacles or incidents related to PGN's natural gas are encountered, the public can contact the Call Center at 135 or the nearest PGN Area Office.
