Promoting Economic Growth in 3T Regions, Pertamina Supplies One Price Fuel in Natuna

Natuna, August 25, 2023 - PT Pertamina (Persero), the national energy company, continues to strive for economic improvement in the 3T regions (Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Remote) by distributing One Price Fuel. This commitment is now realized by simultaneously inaugurating 29 One Price Fuel distributors.

The inauguration took place simultaneously at four locations: Natuna, Bengkulu, Sumba, and Papua. The Natuna region ceremony, held at 16.16.297.033 petrol station in Kelarik Village, North Bunguran, Natuna on Thursday, August 24, 2023, was attended by Erika Retnowati, Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), Natuna Regent Wan Siswandi, and President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan.

The One Price Fuel program aims to realize fuel availability, accessibility, and affordability, especially in the 3T regions of Indonesia. This policy is expected to achieve economic self-reliance by stimulating domestic economic sectors within the community.

President Director of Pertamina, Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan, stated that as of August 2023, Pertamina has successfully established 461 One Price Fuel distribution establishments throughout Indonesia, with details as follows: 70 distributors in Sumatera, 101 distributors in Kalimantan, three distributors in Java and Madura, two distributors in Bali, 48 distributors in Sulawesi, 80 distributors in Nusa Tenggara, and 157 distributors in Maluku and Papua.

"The entrusted task of distributing the One Price Fuel is Pertamina's contribution to providing energy to remote areas of the country, including the 3T regions. Therefore, we hope to facilitate the community with One Price Fuel program," said Riva.

Furthermore, Riva explained that these One Price Fuel distribution institutions provide Pertalite and Biosolar at prices regulated by the government. The subsidized price for Biosolar is IDR 6,800 per liter, and the price for Pertalite is IDR 10,000 per liter.

On the same occasion, the Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, expressed that one of the government's missions is to provide equitable energy for the Indonesian people. Apart from easier access, ensuring the same price for the community, especially those in 3T regions, is one of the goals of the One Price Fuel program.

"The One Price Fuel program is a national program that embodies the fifth principle of Indonesia’s Pancasila, social justice for all Indonesian citizens. The One Price Fuel program has been implemented since 2017. This inauguration today is a manifestation of the government's presence in realizing economic self-reliance, and it is hoped that the community can save on fuel expenses and subsequently impact the decrease in staple goods prices, thus enhancing people’s life quality and welfare," explained Erika.

Natuna Regent, Wan Siswandi, expressed his appreciation to Pertamina and BPH Migas. "The presence of these petrol stations is expected to address the fuel-related issues faced by the community. Previously, access to fuel was quite far. Hopefully, it can resolve the issues and facilitate the community’s activities," said Siswandi.

He hoped that with these petrol stations, the community and fishermen could easily access affordable fuel, similar to other regions in Indonesia.

"Hopefully, with the One Price Fuel station in Kelarik, it can facilitate the community in accessing fuel to support economic activities within the community," he concluded.

VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, seperately mentioned that Pertamina always strives to provide energy throughout the country. It aligns with Pertamina's commitment to ensure energy availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability, and sustainability.

"Pertamina, as a national energy company, will continue to make maximum efforts to ensure energy resilience and availability throughout Indonesia," conveyed Fadjar.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.
