Jakarta, October 3, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) has once again involved its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Southeast Asia’s largest handicraft exhibition, the International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT). A total of 20 SMEs supported by Pertamina are showcasing high-quality products at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Jakarta from October 2–6, 2024.
The VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina’s MSMEs offer a variety of products, including fashion, crafts, beauty items, jewelry, and unique home decor with a distinctive Indonesian flair. The presence of these highly competitive local products is part of Pertamina’s efforts to support the growth of Indonesia's creative economy.
“We are proud that 20 of Pertamina’s best MSMEs can participate in this international exhibition. INACRAFT provides a golden opportunity for them to introduce their flagship products to a broader audience, both locally and internationally,” he said.
He added that to select the 20 best MSMEs, Pertamina conducted a product selection and curation process. It ensures that the quality of Pertamina's partner products is competitive in the global market.
For instance, the MSME Agrominafiber received an order for bamboo lamps and rattan baskets worth IDR 150 million from an Argentine buyer on the first day of the INACRAFT exhibition. Additionally, Sobag, a producer of traditional fabric bags, received an order for woven combination bags worth IDR 30 million.
“We hope that at INACRAFT, Pertamina’s MSMEs can achieve optimal transactions and even become the top choice for international buyers,” said Fadjar.
A rigorous curation process was carried out from early July 2024, eventually narrowing to 20 entrepreneurs. In the fashion sector, Pertamina features MSMEs such as Jokotole Collection, Ulfa Mumtaza, Tenun Ikat Ayu Windy, Batik Sarjuni, Dizza Batik Fashion, Batik Batoga, and Songket Permata Palembang. In the home decor sector, Soulmate Bedsheet, Agrominafiber, Hand Embroidery, and Tio Art Borneo are participating. Crafts are also a major highlight at INACRAFT, with Pertamina presenting Sobag, a producer of traditional fabric bags, alongside Kuncoro Leather, Adhimas Batik, Dian Art, Sekar Mukti Craft, Anggun Collection, Toko Ida Utama, and Mitraindo Shoes Pratama. Meanwhile, CV Bali Ayu Shop represents the handmade beauty sector.
Additionally, six Pertamina-supported MSMEs from the food and beverage sector are ready to delight visitors, located at the food court in Hall B.
Apart from these MSMEs, seven other Pertamina MSMEs are participating independently in the exhibition. However, as part of its efforts to support its partners, Pertamina continues to provide guidance and facilitate their needs. These MSMEs have already proven themselves with export-quality flagship products, including Pekatan Batik, Griya Kain Solo, Joglo Ayu Tenan, Azizah Songket, Batik Prabu by Yanke, Rumah Kebaya Vielga, and Batik Jinggar.
