Palembang, August 12, 2023 –To support the subsidized LPG delivery to eligible communities, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is conducting a trial of data matching and digital transactions for 3 Kg LPG in the South Sumatera region.
Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for Pertamina's South Sumatera Regional Office, stated that this program aims to enhance the transparency and accuracy of the 3 kg Subsidized LPG distribution while ensuring it reaches the intended recipients. This trial is being conducted in designated distributors or official 3 kg LPG stations.
"The data matching of household and micro-business consumers is carried out at the designated distributors or official 3 kg LPG stations, without the need for consumers to use smartphones or gadgets," said Nikho.
This data matching is synchronized with the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Eradication (P3KE) program data by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
Nikho added that during the data collection phase, the public can still purchase 3 Kg LPG at official stations as usual. Buyers only need to present their National Identity Card (KTP) and/or Family Card (KK), and if they are already registered in the system, they only need to show their KTP for subsequent purchases.
"However, if someone is not registered yet, they can register their KTP's National Identification Number (NIK) and Family Card at the designated distributor or official station, with registration done only once. The change is mainly in the transaction process; there is digital recording and data verification first before a transaction can take place," he added.
For fulfilling the demand for 3 Kg LPG, the South Sumatera province alone has 7,237 LPG stations. Pertamina has prepared 1,983 stations for data matching.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina is taking various measures to ensure subsidized LPG’s targeted distribution, one of which is by data matching and digital transactions, following the regulations.
"Subsidized LPG is intended only for those in need, with predefined quotas. Thus, the distribution must be targeted accurately," Fadjar said.
In achieving precise distribution, Pertamina is coordinating with local governments, local police, and encouraging the community to oversee and report any irregularities or misallocations in the distribution process.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
