Jakarta, March 22, 2024 - In collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Pertamina once again organized the 2024 Safari Ramadan BUMN activity at the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation, in Rorotan Village, North Jakarta, on Thursday, March 21, 2024. This activity was held to provide benefits and blessings in the Holy Month of Ramadan for the surrounding community in the spirit of togetherness.
A total of 1,000 affordable basic food packages were distributed to the Rorotan Village’s residents. These packages, priced at IDR 75,000 each, consisted of 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, and 1 kg of sugar. The distribution of these affordable basic food packages was welcomed enthusiastically by the residents around the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation.
This affordable basic food bazaar provides an opportunity for residents to obtain essential needs at affordable prices during Ramadan. Additionally, during this event, a bazaar of fostered MSMEs was also conducted to assist local MSMEs around the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation to improve the local economy.
The Head of the Al Wathoniyah 43 Foundation, KH. Lukmanul Hakim expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs and Pertamina. He also expressed his hope that Pertamina's concern could continue and positively impact the foundation’s surrounding community.
The Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, explained that Pertamina, as a state-owned enterprise operating in the energy sector, is not only continually striving to provide energy throughout the country but also contributing to society through Social and Environmental Responsibility Programs in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals towards community empowerment.
According to Fajriyah, coinciding with this holy month of Ramadan, Pertamina has been entrusted by the Ministry of SOEs to implement the Safari Ramadan BUMN program in the North Jakarta, South Sumatra, and Riau regions. She hopes these affordable basic food packages will benefit the community and enhance the relationship between SOEs and the Rorotan community.
