Jakarta, June 26, 2024 – PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) contributes not only by producing fuel for the public but also as one of the largest taxpayers in Indonesia. Consistency in adhering to tax payment and reporting obligations has earned KPI recognition and the Large Taxpayer Award from the Regional Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) for 2024. The award acknowledges the Contribution Achievement and Compliance in Submitting Corporate Income Tax Annual Returns and Periodic Tax Returns for the 2023 Tax Year.
"Paying taxes is part of corporate governance in complying with the laws and regulations in Indonesia. Adherence to tax regulations is also a crucial aspect that supports national development," said the Corporate Secretary of KPI, Hermansyah Y Nasroen.
By operating six refinery units across Indonesia, KPI is a significant taxpayer. Large taxpayers are entities that contribute substantially to tax revenue. The award was directly received by KPI's Acting Director of Finance, Prayitno, from the Head of the DJP Large Taxpayer Regional Office, Yunirwansyah.
Besides demonstrating compliance, Hermansyah stated that tax payments are also one of KPI's contributions to supporting the nation's economy.
"By diligently paying taxes, KPI is enhancing community welfare and driving a better economy for Indonesia. We hope to continue ensuring national energy security through fuel production and making optimal contributions to the country," Hermansyah added.
Hermansyah also mentioned that the award would motivate KPI to strive for excellence in its operations with good governance.
"This award signifies that KPI upholds high standards in fulfilling its tax payment and reporting obligations. It will also encourage KPI to be more enthusiastic in executing its tax rights and responsibilities and contributing even better in the future," Hermansyah concluded.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that this award is an appreciation and proof that through KPI, Pertamina is a company with good governance and compliance with government regulations, especially in taxation.
"As a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina always adheres to government regulations in conducting its business," said Fadjar.
