Strengthening 4 Years of Organizational Transformation, Pertamina Hosts AKHLAK Fest 2024

Jakarta, July 9, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) hosted AKHLAK Fest 2024 to reinforce the company's transformation over the past four years. The event, held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, was attended by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Erick Thohir, the Main Commissioner of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, and thousands of Pertamina officers.

AKHLAK Fest 2024 aims to continuously strengthen the AKHLAK work culture (Trustworthy, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative), a strong foundation for Pertamina's transformation into a world-class energy company.

During the event, the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, expressed his appreciation for the Pertamina AKHLAK Fest 2024. He also acknowledged Pertamina as one of the companies consistently building AKHLAK. "I think this is my second or third time attending a Pertamina AKHLAK event," he said.

Erick also hopes that all Pertamina officers will not merely use AKHLAK as a slogan but will apply it in their daily activities. "And I have seen the transformation happening at Pertamina; I have also seen how the people transformation," Erick stated.

Nicke Widyawati, the President Director of Pertamina, stated that AKHLAK values must continue to be internalized within the company so that Pertamina can keep contributing efficiently to a better future.

"We must remember that as an energy company, we want to be a catalyst for Indonesia's economic growth. Therefore, if economic growth is 7%, then we must be able to provide energy 1.8 or two times," Nicke said.

Nicke added that as a state-owned enterprise (SOE), Pertamina has the primary task of maintaining energy security and fulfilling national energy needs. Furthermore, Pertamina's task is to carry out decarbonization and environmentally friendly clean energy utilization.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, explained that AKHLAK Fest 2024 is expected to bond Pertamina Group officers with the spirit of “One Pertamina” and serve as a showcase for the cultural programs of all Pertamina Group entities.

"The AKHLAK work culture guide has driven Pertamina's successful transformation into a more agile, adaptive, and efficient company, with corporate performance showing a positive trend, especially over the past four years," Fadjar said.

Fadjar added that the AKHLAK culture will continue to be strengthened in supporting the company's strategic initiatives, such as the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), and digital transformation implementation.

"Pertamina adopts AKHLAK as its identity and work culture implementation to become a leading global energy company with an environmentally friendly reputation, social responsibility, and good governance," Fadjar added.

AKHLAK Fest 2024 is also enlivened with various activities, including talk shows, the Perwira Award, and community activities for workers in the Pertamina Group.
