Jakarta, November 3, 2022 – To support the unity of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) with the community, PT Pertamina (Persero) through the SMEPP Management CSR Function in collaboration with the TNI held a social service activity in the 77th TNI Anniversary series, Wednesday (5/10/2022).
This Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) is to assist the Government in achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) point 1, to overcome poverty, and point 2, to overcome hunger, as well as implementing ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) commitments.
As a form of support for this activity, Pertamina handed over 5,000 basic food packages worth IDR 1.9 billion to the TNI to be distributed to people in need around Pertamina's operational areas. Food packages were distributed in five locations in Jakarta. Namely, the Monas Front Door Area, Horse Statue Front Area, Sarinah Mall Front Area, HI Roundabout Police Post Area, and Grand Hyatt Hotel Front Area.
The food packages consist of rice, sugar, wheat flour, cooking oil, fried noodles, sardines, ground coffee, tea bags, soy sauce, and biscuits.
VP of CSR & SMEPP of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, hopes that this collaboration with the TNI can help the surrounding community. "The basic food package distribution is intended for the community's benefit. From this activity, it is hoped that it can ease the economy and help the community around Pertamina as well as prove that the TNI is united with the people," she said.
The symbolic handing over of 5,000 basic food packages was carried out by Vice President of Stakeholder Relations of Pertamina, Rifky Rakhman Yusuf, to Colonel (Inf) Danny Alkadrie Paban.
"This collaboration between the TNI and Pertamina is terrific. Hopefully, the assistance, support, and attention given by Pertamina can be useful for the community and at the same time show that the TNI and the community are an inseparable force," he concluded.**
