Jakarta, June 9, 2023 - Community empowerment programs encompassing disaster mitigation activities, renovation of slum villages, and skill enhancement through creative food processing are part of the collaborative efforts between the community and Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) to transform villages into sustainable settlements. These initiatives consistently promote energy efficiency through 17 activities, recycling of B3 and non-B3 waste amounting to over 2,000 tons, biodiversity preservation safeguarding 8,327 hectares of land, and community empowerment programs involving disaster mitigation, slum village renovation, and skill enhancement through creative food processing.
Through Kilang Pertamina Internasional Plaju Unit, PT KPI has successfully garnered two awards: the Top Leader on CSR Commitment presented to the GM of Kilang Pertamina Internasional Plaju Unit, Yulianto, and the #stars5 Award through various TJSL work programs. The stars5 Award signifies a perfect score of 5 out of 5, recognizing its strong support for sustainable business growth strategies. KPI's CSR initiatives have adopted CSV (Creating Shared Value) and ISO 26000 SR, serving as exemplary model for other companies. Kilang Pertamina Internasional Plaju Unit’s commendable governance, product output, human resource management, and effective CSV have led to the #Stars5 Award.
This enthusiasm represents Kilang Pertamina Internasional Plaju Unit’s commitment to achieving SDG goals, particularly Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, as well as Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities.

The TOP CSR Awards 2023 ceremony took place at Hotel Raffles, Jakarta, on June 7, 2023.
