The Role of Pertamina Group's Srikandi in Commemorating Kartini Day 2024

Jakarta, April 21, 2024 - Commemorating Kartini Day 2024, PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to optimize the role of Pertamina Group's Srikandi in driving energy for Indonesia.

Nicke Widyawati, Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated the 147th Kartini Day as a symbol of the emancipation of Indonesian women. Now, Indonesian women can actively participate and contribute in various fields, including the energy sector.

"Currently, more than 30% of Pertamina's Officers are women, and we will continue to encourage women to pursue careers and demonstrate their potential optimally," Nicke explained. "Happy Kartini Day to all Indonesian women," she added.

According to Nicke, the presence of women in top management and middle management, even operational sectors across almost all the company's business lines, shows that Pertamina provides equal opportunities for women to participate in strategic decision-making.

"Two of the seven Pertamina's (Holding) board of directors are women, and almost 20 percent of the total management-level workers are women leaders. It is nearly reaching the target set by the Minister of SOE, which is 25 percent representation of women in the leadership ranks of SOEs," she disclosed.

Furthermore, the Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina's upstream and downstream energy sectors continue to inspire the Srikandi of Pertamina Group to work in supporting energy resilience.

"The Srikandi of Pertamina Group continues to work in supporting energy resilience, both at sea, on land, and in the air, including roles in upstream energy in offshore areas, downstream energy roles on land from Sumatra to Papua, starting from Sub-Holding to Service Subsidiaries, and even in the air serving as pilot Srikandi," Fadjar said.

Kartini Day, Fadjar continued, serves as an energy force that inspires all Indonesian women.
