Visiting Cianjur Earthquake Victims Post, President Director of Pertamina Hands Over Aids

Cianjur, December 6, 2022 - President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, visited the SOE Task Force Post for refugees affected by the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java. During the visit, Nicke also handed over aid to the victims.

Nicke's arrival to Cianjur was also to accompany the Minister of SOE's wife, Liza Thohir, and the Srikandi BUMN, who came to meet the victims affected by the earthquake at the SOE Task Force Post at the Perhutani Building KPH Cianjur, West Java, Monday (5/12/2022). During the visit, Liza Thohir and the Srikandi BUMN staff comforted the victims and distributed various aids.

On this occasion, Nicke also handed over aid from Pertamina for victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake. The aid was received directly by the SOE Task Force representative at the post. The aids were mineral water, packaged milk, milk for pregnant women, nutritional intake for babies, tea, and sugar.

Nicke said that since the beginning of the earthquake in Cianjur, which occurred on November 21, 2022, Pertamina has continued to coordinate with various parties, one of which is the SOE Task Force to help the victims.

"Pertamina Group has cohesively helped the earthquake victims, either by distributing aid independently or collaboration with other parties," said Nicke.

The Pertamina Peduli evacuation post in Mekarsari Village serves 910 people, equipped with various supporting facilities such as tents with electrical installations, public kitchens that provide 1,900 portions of food per day, toilet facilities, health, and psychosocial posts for children.

The aids provided by Pertamina received appreciation from Ujang Rahmat, the Head of Mekarsari Village, Cianjur. "Alhamdulillah, now our residents are relieved, and the aids is complete, starting from tents, food, logistics, and others. Thank you, Pertamina, for helping the residents. I hope Pertamina will be even more successful."

75 state-owned enterprises participated in sending donations to help victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake, including Pertamina. Apart from distributing aid independently, Pertamina also coordinates and collaborates with various parties to distribute aid, one of which is through the SOETask Force.

As of December 5, 2022, Pertamina has provided aid to the Cianjur earthquake victims with a total value of IDR 2.6 billion. The aids provided ranged from necessities, medicines, tents for evacuation, safety kits, and medical equipment to sending health workers and volunteers to Cianjur.

Apart from that, Pertamina also provided aids in the form of canisters containing Bright Gas for cooking, fuel for operational vehicles for the TNI, Polri, and volunteers, and established a Pertamina Peudli Post in Mekarsari Village, Panembong Kaler Village, which accommodated around 694 people at the post.**
