Overview
The company first started with a sawmill in 1965. This was the first and the oldest industry in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. With progress and growing experience, the company expanded onto forest concession and harvesting activities in 1979. This expansion marked the establishment ot PT. Erna Djuliawati, a wood-based industry located in Kayu Tunu Village, Kabupaten Sanggau, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The new factory started commercial production on June 1981. This development also marked the foundation of Lyman Timber Division.
In the begining, the factory only produced Plywood and Blockboard. Then in 1988, a polyester line was added and finally in 1996, the company expanded into the manufacture of fancy plywood. Currently the company's products include generally/ordinary plywood, container flooring, floor base and concrete panels.
The company's plywood products have met the standards from JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard), IWPA (International Wood Products Association) USA and British standard (Europe). Besides that, the company's operation activities conform to the Indonesian Health and Safety at Work Management System (SMK3).
PT Erna Djuliawati is a subsidiary Company of Lyman Group under Lyman Timber Division, a manufacturer of high quality wood based and related value added products. The factory output is destined mainly for export markets in Japan, South Korea, China, USA as well as others, under the brand name "ALBATROSS".
The high quality standard of the finished product is guaranteed by stringent quality assurance and control, starting from JAS certified factory to the ISO 9001:2008 standard which ensures highest quality right through to the finished product stage. We provide premium quality, good services as well as on punctual delivery time. Our container flooring product follows AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service) Standard and passed International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Strength Test.
We also have been awarded Indonesian Ministry of Forestry mandatory certification of Sustainable Forest Management (PHPL Certificate) on November 6, 2012 which was assessed by PT. Mutuagung Lestari who have been accredited by Indonesian Accreditation Committee (KAN). PHPL Certificate is valid from November 6, 2012 to November 05, 2017. PT. Erna Djuliawati adhere to criteria and indicator according to FSC's version and Ministry of Forestry's version.
